Record snowfall at Mount Tremblant extends spring skiing

Spring is always a special time of year to soak up glorious sunshine, enjoy some good times with packed sun decks and experience amazing Quebec spring skiing at Mount Tremblant. Mount Tremblant is massive with over 654 skiable acres of trails for every level on 102 runs, four distinct slopes and two lesser summits all easily accessible with lifts including the expert Edge chair runs. I skied the north side in the morning with a good variety of runs off the Duncan Express, then caught the afternoon sun on the south side with the Flying Mile to Johannsen and stunning cathedral-like views of the Village. My tip for busy mornings and a shot of fresh air: Take the chair adjacent to the gondola called Flying Mile to the midway point then over to the TVG chair to the top. For a culinary experience by Executive Chef, Romain Texier head to the adjacent room, Choux Gras Brasserie Culinaire tastefully decorated and a fireplace set in the middle for all to see and feel. I enjoyed an appetizer of perfectly grilled octopus then on to a wonderful chef prepared seafood platter with lobster, king crab, scallops, shrimps and fresh vegetables. Also, check out Le Comptoir with its retro design for breakfast or lunch. My trip wouldn’t be complete without a stop to one of my favourite village restaurants and apres hangout, La Diable Microbrasserie for their famous ribs and delicious in-house craft beer. If you’re not a winter fun seeker, there’s plenty of options including the Tremblant Casino or take a 15-minute ride from the ski resort to Mount Tremblant Village filled with quaint restaurants, local shopping and plenty of old town charm along with a Scandinave Spa ten minutes away.
