FANTASY FARE: Updated NHL trade deadline fallout
Plenty happened on the trade front between last Saturday and the Monday deadline, some of which may even have a late-season impact on hockey pools. Our Saturday noon cutoff time for this column means we can assess the trade fallout with the advantage of having seen, for a game or two, where the acquired players initially fit in with their new teams. Of course, not all of these first looks are going to stick. Chemistry, production and injuries will all help decide who ultimately plays with whom.

FANTASY FARE: Rough week for injuries, especially on defence
When our office head-to-head league flipped to the next game last Monday, I was quietly fist-pumping the fact that my opponent this week had lost Connor McDavid to a quad injury a couple of days earlier. FANTASY FARE: Updating Jack Campbell's forecast on the Leafs
New goalkeeper Jack Campbell may be just what the Maple Leafs need. But should fantasy owners be racing to pick him up? OK, yes, he’s worth taking a chance on. We’ve been saying that since November when he was outplaying starter Jonathan Quick in L.A., and threatening to take over the No. 1 role.

FANTASY FARE: Duchene, Johansen look to finally catch fire as new linemates
In an apparent case of three negatives creating an overall positive, the Nashville Predators have placed arguably their two most under-achieving skaters this season — centres Ryan Johansen and Matt Duchene — on the same line and returned fourth-line pivot Kyle Turris to a top-six role.
