More of us know someone who fell prey to a vehicle thief: Survey
Nearly four out of 10 people — 38% — in Ontario know someone who has had their vehicle stolen during the last five years, according to a new survey. “When it comes to auto theft, prevention is key,” said insurance broker Steven Harris, of LowestRates.ca. “Investing in anti-theft measures not only protects your vehicle but also provides valuable peace of mind. It’s a proactive step that can save you from a lot of potential headaches down the road.” Insurance rates for models which are most commonly targeted by carjackers can vary, depending on where a driver lives, said Harris.
