History was made on June 7 when the Washington Capitals won its first Stanley Cup. ‘Always the bridesmaid’ Alexander Ovechkin finally became ‘the bride’ when he triumphantly held the Stanley Cup high above his head, his body and the Cup shaking and bouncing, his bright and wide toothless smile adding additional glitter to the Las Vegas Skyline. Later, Alexander The Great, who also won MVP, partied on at a club DJ’d by Tiesto and let out years of relief.
