Riptide Rock is edged out at the wire by Safe Conduct for a hard-luck second-place finish at the Queen’s Plate yesterday at Woodbine. Ridden by David Moran, Riptide Rock got squeezed early in the race and, despite a furious attempt to come back, fell just short of giving trainer Sid Attard his first Plate victory.
