Ian Shantz
Ian Shantz is a digital editor at the Toronto Sun. Throughout his journalism career, which began in 2004, he has specialized in sports, news and travel writing, as well as newspaper layout and digital duties. He has won several provincial newspaper awards and in 2007 was nominated for a National Newspaper Award. Shantz was dispatched to cover the war in Afghanistan for the Barrie Examiner, where he worked prior to a pit stop in Hamilton before arriving at the Sun. He is a graduate of Niagara College's Journalism-Print program. Away from work, he is forever in pursuit of a quality cup of coffee and a favourite new band.
