Five months ago, we took over Canoe to offer Canadian’s more of what they want, in one convenient location. We also launched new services and partnerships to provide you with the very best deals, discounts and offers. Now, we’re excited to share the launch of the Canoe app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store) — so you can get the latest in shopping, entertainment, lifestyle and travel at your fingertips.
There are many product and entertainment recommendation sites out there, but we’re dedicated to serving the Canadian reader and shopper. Whether you’re looking for a new sofa, blender, pair of headphones or the best deal on a pair of leggings, our team of journalists are dedicated to sharing their recommendations, based on primary and secondary research.
When providing recommendations, we consider Canadians and the diverse groups of people who make up our vast nation. Firstly, we ensure products ship across the country — no more finding the perfect item only to discover it doesn’t ship outside of the U.S. Secondly, we ensure sites we’re recommending are listed in local currency (unless completely unavoidable, and then we call it out) — we don’t want to have to convert USD to CAD to see how much something actually costs. Finally, we know each reader may have a different goal — so we recommend products that meet the needs of individuals.
Beyond shopping recommendations, we also cover entertainment and travel. We’re the exclusive Canadian launch partner with VEEPS, a live concert streaming platform. Can’t make it to the venue of your favourite musician? Just check out the VEEPS schedule and archive to see which shows are available to view.
For travel, we provide recommendations on suitcases and other accessories, but also reviews on hotels, airlines, tour agencies and things to do on vacation. We also have a dedicated site offering the latest travel deals and discounts. If you’re looking for more travel deals or savings across many industries, we have a coupons page with the promo codes for your favourite brands.
Canoe offers Canadians a one-stop hub to stay on top of shopping, entertainment, and so much more. You can download the new app in the App Store and Google Play Store, and personalize your experience to receive preferred content. You’ll get notifications when there’s a deal that can’t be missed or during key events, like Amazon Prime Day. The Canoe app makes it easy to stay on top of the Canadian e-commerce space — it’s worth checking out — and it’s free.
