Amber Heard has announced she is now a mother of three.

The Aquaman actress revealed she has welcomed twins Agnes, a girl, and Ocean, a boy — to her brood, which also includes four-year-old daughter, Oonagh, who was born via surrogate in 2021.

“Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” Heard wrote in an Instagram post. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full. When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!”

When she announced Oonagh’s arrival four years ago, Heard, 39, said that she had “decided I wanted to have a child” but “wanted to do it on my own terms.”

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib,” she said at the time.

She went on to describe her daughter as “the beginning of the rest of my life.”

Heard was married to Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2017, but the two became embroiled in a high-profile defamation court battle in 2022 after she wrote a 2018 op-ed in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse.

Depp, who lost an earlier court fight against the U.K. Sun in 2020 after the paper called him a “wife-beater,” claimed the article ruined his career and maintained she was the abuser in their relationship.

His subsequent legal challenge in Virginia proved to be successful when a seven-person jury mostly sided with him, awarding the three-time Oscar nominee $10.35 million in damages. Heard counter-sued Depp, who was found guilty on one count of defamation through his former lawyer Adam Waldman.

During the six-week trial in the spring of 2022, jurors and millions of people watching online got a peek into the couple’s extravagant and sordid relationship.

At one point, Depp alleged that Heard or one of her pals “dropped a grumpy” in their bed after an argument erupted over his tardiness for her 30th birthday party. The actor claimed he left their condo in downtown Los Angeles for another home in the Hollywood Hills after she became angry with him.

The next day, Depp was shown a pic sent by his housekeeper. “It was a photograph of our bed,” Depp testified. “And on my side of the bed was human fecal matter.”

After she lost their court fight, the two eventually settled their dispute, with Heard agreeing to pay Depp $1 million, which he donated to five charities.

In the wake of the trial, Depp released an album and toured with his late friend Jeff Beck. The Pirates of the Caribbean star also signed on to play King Louis XV opposite co-star and director Maiwenn in Jeanne Du Barry. Depp went on to direct Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness, with Riccardo Scamarcio in the lead and Al Pacino co-starring.

Following the verdict, Depp said in a statement that the jury “gave me my life back.” Heard, meanwhile, said the judgment was a “setback” for other survivors of domestic violence.

Heard eventually moved to Spain with a source telling PEOPLE in 2022 she “is able to just be a mom there. She is focused on raising her daughter. She spends every day with her girl. They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”

Caught outside her home in 2023, Heard said she isn’t missing Hollywood and has no plans to leave Europe.

In a video posted to TikTok, local reporters peppered the actress about her new life abroad. “I love Spain so much,” Heard replied in Spanish. When she was asked if she planned on staying, Heard replied, “Yes, I hope so. Yes, I love living here.”

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter last year, Depp said he wasn’t “mad” he became an outcast among his acting peers.

“Everything that we experience, whether you’re given a snow cone or walking your dog, you learn something somewhere along the way. So I don’t have any ill feelings toward anyone,” he said. “I don’t have this great reserve of hatred, because hatred requires caring. Why carry that baggage?”
