But Spears found herself a target of many critics following her post, with several saying the image proves she’s being “controlled.”
“If people didn’t believe you were being controlled, they sure do now,” one follower replied, while another added, “Britney didn’t post this y’all.”

Others accused Spears of perpetuating racism, with one person writing, “So tired of rich white people trying to shame everyone else for something none of us did.”
“Stating that all of one race is one way is the definition of racism,” another poster wrote.
Elsewhere, some fans jumped on the “generational wealth” portion of the image, saying that doesn’t apply to all white people.
“Where do I collect my generational wealth?” one asked. “I’ve been homeless 5 times, lost jobs due to COVID, been abused numerous times, lost EVERYTHING and been harassed by all types of races and officers because I was sleeping on the streets with nowhere to go. So do I have trauma, or no?”
Others replied that if Spears was serious, she should consider donating to the causes she posts about.
“Are you giving away your fortune, Britney?” one person wrote, with another encouraging the Grammy winner to “donate all your millions to BLM!”
But Spears was unmoved by the drama, returning to social media after the divisive post to share video montage of her modelling various outfits set to BLACKPINK’s How You Like That.
