The then-Prince Charles presented the once-celebrated actor with an honorary knighthood in 2016. While others have had the designation revoked for past indiscretions, Spacey’s honour hasn’t been taken away following sexual assault allegations.
“I can tell you that I was very touched” by the gesture, Spacey said of the knighthood, adding that Charles organized a ceremony at Clarence House and said he was pleased by the work the actor had done.
The interview comes a month after a documentary, Spacey Unmasked, was broadcast on Britain’s Channel 4 revealing new allegations of predatory behaviour against the Oscar winner.

And his woes are not over yet. Spacey will make a court appearance in Britain after a lawsuit was filed by a man who alleges that he was sexually assaulted by the actor in August 2008. Spacey has denied the allegations.
The actor has been blacklisted by Hollywood since 2017 after sexual abuse allegations surfaced.
In other parts of the interview, Spacey admitted to making some mistakes, of “pushing the boundaries … being too handsy, you know. Touching someone sexually, in a way that I didn’t know at the time that they didn’t want.”
When asked if his behaviour could also be called groping, the actor said “yes.”
“I agree that the word grope is a very odd word. I personally … I have caressed people. I have been gentle with people. That is the way that I am.
“You’re making a pass at someone, you don’t want to be aggressive — you want to be gentle. You want to see if they’re going to respond positively. So, I think the word itself is not a word that I associate with my experience.”
