Dwayne Johnson can definitely smell what police officer Eric Fields is cooking.
The patrol lieutenant with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama went viral last month thanks to his striking resemblance to The Rock.

“I’ve been called The Rock and Vin Diesel’s love child,” Fields joked in an interview with AL.com. “I go along with it. It’s humorous. It’s flattering. It could be worse people, I guess.”
After a Facebook post featuring Fields meeting a Wal-Mart employee started making the rounds, Johnson spotted his doppleganger and weighed in with his own review.
“Oh s—! Wow. Guy on the left is way cooler,” Fields responded by sharing a photo of himself about to enjoy Johnson’s tequila and writing, “Thanks brother & cheers.” Fields, who has worked for the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years, says his status as a Rock stand-in has been “a running joke” for a few years and his wife buys him the former WWE star’s Under Armor clothing gear for his own workouts. But most of all, he likes that his resemblance to the Jungle Cruise star can be a part of “someone’s happiness and laughter.” “I don’t want to disappoint anybody,” Fields says. “I walk up one day and at a different angle, I don’t know. It’s flattering, but it’s also a little nerve-racking as far as what others expect I guess.”
