The unlikely duo cuddled in a photo that they jointly shared on their Instagram accounts Sunday with the simple caption: “Happy Easter.”
Hurley was radiant as ever, wearing jeans and a plaid blue shirt unbuttoned halfway, a cowboy hat, and her hair in pigtails, as she leaned into Cyrus, who sported a green bunny ears headband as he planted a kiss her on her waiting cheek.
The pair have never been romantically linked but a video on Hurley’s Instagram account from earlier this month shows the 59-year-old in a skimpy brown-and-gold chain bikini enjoying “the most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives” in a video set to Cyrus’ 1993 song, She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.
The plot thickens.
The general consensus in the comments section were disbelief, including a meme from Hannah Montana, featuring Miley Cyrus and co-star Emily Osment with their jaws dropped as popcorn fell out of their mouths.
And actress Melissa Gilbert wrote what many were thinking: “Wait. What?”
However, Hurley’s son, Damian, dropped a celebratory emoji and red heart on his mom’s account, while British beauty entrepreneur Trinny Woodall wished her a Happy Easter, adding, “I hope you’re having the best time.”
But other fans questioned the coupling, with one posting red flag emojis, while another asked, “Is today April 1st?”
Earlier this year, there were reports that the Cyrus family was “worried” about Billy Ray after the Old Town Road singer appeared to struggle during his performance at U.S. President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball.
Son Trace Cyrus suggested that his father could be struggling with alcoholism or addiction.
In June 2024, Cyrus filed for divorce from Australian singer Firerose, seven months after the pair tied the knot.
They began dating in 2022, months after Billy Ray, 63, separated from Tish Cyrus, his wife of 29 years and mom of Miley and Noah.
Hurley was previously married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2007-10.
She was previously engaged to Australian cricket player Shane Warne, dated Hugh Grant for 13 years, and was in a brief relationship with producer Steve Bing, the late father of Damian.
