During the Big Night Aht live show on Wednesday, he told host Pat McAfee and the crowd that he’s lost nearly 200 pounds.

“I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning,” the 40-year-old said, adding that his journey isn’t over.

“I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden, baby!”

Jelly Roll – whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord – has been working towards celebrating a lower number on the scale as well as improving his overall fitness since December 2022.

In May 2024, the “Son of a Sinner” singer finished his first-ever race in the 2 Bears 5K in Los Angeles.

“I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” DeFord told Entertainment Tonight after crossing the finish line in the untimed race.

“So the fact that we got three-point-whatever it was done today, I feel really, really good about it. I left here feeling really motivated.”

The singer revealed earlier this year that he was training to run in his second 5K, and took to TikTok to invite fans to join the “Jelly Roll’s Losers Run Club.”

DeFord has since detailed what he eats in a day while on tour – including his favourite Waffle House meal – and that he still slashes pounds.

He shared a video on Instagram showing how his nutrition coach, Ian Larios, whips up healthy versions of the singer’s faves, including a peanut butter dough cookie bite with sliced bananas, “protein poutine,” and a “healthy breakfast bowl,” or as Larios called it, a “Waffle House Bowl, healthy rendition.”

Jelly noted: “I only eat two meals a day and one snack,” as Larios showed how he makes healthier versions of the meals the singer loves.

“It all started because I love Waffle House,” the singer said. “Larios figured out a way to not only make ‘em taste good but good for my tummy.”

Last December, he was on wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast where he called himself a “550-pound zombie” and explained why he was so open about losing weight.

“I did this publicly for a reason,” DeFord said. “I want to be honest about my struggles with it with people. I wore it for so long.”

He added that he wants to lose the weight “in front of everybody” and be proud of the accomplishment.

“I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026,” he told his wife. “That’s my new goal. So I wanna have one of the biggest transformations.”
