Things definitely go bump in the night at the late Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion.

“(There are) ghost stories dating back decades from that mansion,” Marquardt, 48, revealed during an interview with House Beautiful’s paranormal activity podcast Dark House this week.
Marquardt, who was one of Hef’s live-in girlfriends in the 2000s, said that she saw a ghost in her bedroom closet one night when she was hanging out with her sister and some girlfriends.
“My sister, myself and my friend Stacy were all sitting on my bed,” the Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches personality said. “We were talking, having a glass of wine, and the TV was on. All of a sudden, out of the corner of all of our eyes, we saw a woman standing in my closet.”
The bombshell added that the presence didn’t stick around long, but she still remembers how she looked.
“She had black, long kind of stringy hair and she was very pale and very skinny,” Marquardt added. “And she was wearing a white T-shirt that was way too big on her and black acid-wash jeans. She was just standing there.”
Marquardt recalled that she wasn’t scared as she recognized the woman from an earlier visit to the property.
“Before I lived in the mansion I was invited to test for Playmate, and I met this woman who was a social secretary at the mansion,” said Marquardt. “She was super friendly. She was kind of like the house mom. She knew about all the pets and she knew about all the girls. She was just amazing.
By the time she was living on the grounds, the woman had died of cancer.
“I’m pretty sure it was her who was standing there,” Marquardt continued. “And I think she came to see the new addition to the mansion, the new pet that was there — (my dog) Wednesday.”

Holly Madison, who lived there as Hefner’s girlfriend from 2001 to 2008, told Nylon earlier this year that neighbours called it “the haunted house.”
“People talk about it being haunted. There’s all these weird urban legends like trafficking tunnels. It takes on a life of its own,” Madison said.
Marquardt recalled other incidents in the 29-bedroom mansion, built in 1927, revealing that Hefner told her how the home’s original owner, “had either fell, been pushed or had jumped” to her death on the property.
Marquardt also said she never “felt right” in the mansion’s game house.
“Supposedly, housekeeping always didn’t like to go out there either, so they’d always ask for a butler or security to go with them.”
