Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are in Splitsville.
The “Dark Horse” singer and the Hollywood leading man have ended their nine-year relationship after calling off their engagement, according to People.
Orlando, 48, and Perry, 40, first met at an after-party following the 2016 Golden Globes where they battled over an In-N-Out hamburger.
During an episode of American Idol in 2019, show judge Perry said her security guard had grabbed 10 burgers when Bloom swooped in to steal one of his own.
“He wasn’t even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s my burger!'”
Bloom and Perry officially become a couple later that year, but broke up in February 2017, remaining friends. However, a year later, the two started spending more time together.
The singer told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that Bloom got down on one knee and proposed on Valentine’s Day 2019.
The couple announced Perry’s pregnancy in her music video for the song “Never Worn White.”
Their daughter, Daisy Dove, was born in August 2020.
News of the couple’s split was first reported by TMZ, noting that Bloom will be attending the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez as a solo act. The news outlet also had reported that trouble was brewing in the relationship as Perry embarked on a concert world tour.
