Katy Perry wants fans to know one thing — she’s not a robot … or a clone.
The 38-year-old pop star sparked concerns this week when a video went viral on social media showing her struggling to keep her right eye open during a set at her Play residency in Las Vegas.
“Her clone was glitching. That’s scary,” one person wrote on TikTok with another adding, her “battery is shorting out.”
Meanwhile, someone else claimed, “There’s another video circulating where the clone collapsed on stage.”
“It wasn’t the eye thing that was weird it was the fact she acted like it didn’t happen and went on with the show,” a fourth person remarked.
Perry spotted the comments and assured her fans it was just a prank as she invited them to party with her when she returns to Las Vegas next year.
“Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!” she said in an “I was like, ‘Isn’t that already happening? Isn’t that happening with us? Isn’t somebody potentially playing with us?’ … Then the Metaverse is the next dimension of our reality? I don’t know.” Perry — who kicked off her residency on Dec. 29, 2021 — is set to return to Resorts World Las Vegas between February and April 2023. Love concerts, but can't make it to the venue?
