A lip reader has purportedly revealed just what Jennifer Lopez said to Ben Affleck during a tense exchange at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards.
Viewers roasted Affleck on Twitter during the broadcast and into Monday morning after camera operators caught him looking “miserable” throughout the awards show, including during a rousing performance by Stevie Wonder that had most celebrities out of their seats dancing.

But one segment captivated watchers as it appeared to show the newly-married couple in a disagreement.
“Stop,” Lopez scolded Affleck later in the ceremony, according to a lip reader who spoke to the Daily Mail. “Look more friendly. Look motivated.”
“I might,” the Oscar winner allegedly replied, according to the interpreter.
“However bad a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now,” one viewer joked of his sour demeanour during the show, with another adding, “Ben Affleck wants to be at home with a Dunkin’ coffee so bad.”
“Ben Affleck at the Grammys is a sobering reminder that no matter how rich and famous you are, your lady is still going to drag you to s— you don’t want to go to,” another fan remarked as Affleck’s bored reactions went viral.
More questioned why The Tender Bar star was given such prime placement if he was going to look so disinterested.
“Ben Affleck would rather be anywhere else than front row at the #Grammys2023 watching Stevie Wonder crush Higher Ground,” one watcher observed.
Lopez seemingly addressed the drama in an Instagram post in which she said the two had a great night out together.
“Always the best time with my love, my husband,” she wrote alongside a video that showed her getting ready for the show and captured the couple embracing and kissing on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, an insider blamed Affleck’s disinterest in the night’s proceedings on his tiredness.
“Jen and Ben had a fun date night out at the GRAMMYs, but they have both been very busy working on several projects, and Ben was feeling tired,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “He wanted to go and support Jen, but he wasn’t his usual self.”
They added, “Jen had a great time and wanted Ben to be excited to be there, but she understood where he was coming from. Jen knows Ben is a great husband and they still made sure to have a good night together.”
