It’s safe to say that Canadians are not happy with the Trump administration following the U.S. President’s declarations of making Canada the 51st state.
So Jimmy Kimmel is providing an outlet for frustrated Canadians to let that anger out.
The late-night host remarked how international tourism is down in the United States by 12%, and looked at Canadians as the apparent cause of the declining number as “no country is more displeased than our neighbours to the north.”
After showing a video of a recent brawl at a golf course in Kelowna, B.C. — which Kimmel joked “seemed very American” — the comedian went on to note Canadians’ patriotism amid the trade war between the two countries.
“You know, between the tariffs and this nonsense about becoming a state, Canadians have really bonded. They have a common enemy now and it happens to be us,” Kimmel said.
“All this stuff about Canadians being polite and nice and saying sorry and all that, that’s gone.”
That’s when Kimmel shared another video with the audience, a first-ever segment titled, “Angry Canadian of the Night.”
The video shows an unidentified Canadian in the great outdoors, looking like an angry cowboy in all-black, as he ranted about Trump’s annexation talk.
“My kin were here before this country got started and every f—ing generation they’ve been here they gave their blood, sweat and f—ing tears so that the generations coming after ‘em could have a better place than they had,” he declared.
“And now because of a bunch of inept and corrupt politicians, I got the f—ing arrogance of the U.S. President telling me that there’s a f—ing monetary value to my sovereignty?”
The cowboy concluded: “Mind your own f—ing business, Donald. Square up your own country and leave mine the f— alone.”

As the audience cheered, Kimmel laughed, “Look at what he has done to these people. You know they say every time a Canadian gets mad a moose gets its antlers.”
Kimmel then offered his show as a safe place for Canadians to vent, and urged angry citizens to film their “consternation toward America” and share it on social media with the hashtag #PUCKOFF.
“Maybe this will help to make our relationship great again.”
