According to US Weekly, Mulroney used the insult as an example to discuss the dark side of social media.

“I get messages every day like this. I’m not asking for pity because they don’t hurt me but they hurt so many,” Mulroney wrote. “Social media is not going away. It is a business tool, it can be an incredible place to find strength, but it can be dark.”

The 40-year-old Canadian fashion stylist stated she’s sending love “to all those who carry the weight of bullies” and encouraged her 366,000 followers to “find a way to teach our children proper decorum.”

“There is a light at the end of this tunnel,” she wrote in the since-deleted post.

Mulroney then temporarily made her Instagram account private.

Meghan and Mulroney became besties while the future Duchess lived in Toronto while filming the television series Suits.

Mulroney’s Instagram post comes on the heels of the release of Queen Elizabeth’s statement where she noted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will no longer receive public funds for royal duties” and “will not use their HRH titles.”

Prince Harry publicly addressed the Megxit ordeal during a charity event in the U.K. on Sunday.

“The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges,” Harry stated. “What I want to make clear is we’re not walking away, and we certainly aren’t walking away from you.”

He has since joined Meghan and son Archie in British Columbia.
