Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds and his mom Tammy Reynolds were surprise audience members for a taping of The View on June 10 in New York City.
About halfway through the latest episode of the popular ABC morning talk show the Deadpool star and his mom Tammy were pointed out in the audience by co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
Goldberg, while talking about how the show can be unpredictable, said: “You never know what’s going on here at The View. Sometimes you look up and you go, ‘Oh, this is really great.’ And then you look over and you go, ‘Oh snap, there’s Ryan Reynolds!’” As she said that, the camera turned to Ryan and Tammy.

“My mom is here visiting her grandkids. And yesterday she said, ‘It’s my dream to go to The View.’ … I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence, my whole life,” he joked while his mom laughed.
Reynolds then said that he “made a call” as “Blake’s husband,” referring to his famous wife Blake Lively, asking to come to the show. “And here we are. I think my mom might have thought she was going to be on The View maybe, I’m not sure.”
The mom of four told the hosts that she watches The View every day and was recording it at home in Vancouver while she was in New York visiting the grandkids.
The hosts responded by telling her she’s welcome any time, and that Ryan needs to bring Lively on as well.
