Along with other celebrities like Bruce Willis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Cate Blanchett, Spacey’s name appeared in unsealed court documents that revealed Epstein’s high-profile connections.

None of the A-listers are accused of helping Epstein cover up his crimes, but speculation has persisted about who might have been involved in helping the financier carry out his vast sex-trafficking ring before his death by suicide in 2019.

“Release the Epstein files. All of them,” Spacey wrote on X. “For those of us with nothing to fear, the truth can’t come soon enough. I hate to make this about me — but the media already has.”

In 2002, Spacey travelled aboard Epstein’s plane alongside former U.S. president Bill Clinton and comedian Chris Tucker on a trip to Africa to promote HIV/AIDS awareness.

Spacey’s acting career ground to a halt in 2017 after Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp alleged that the two-time Oscar winner sexually assaulted him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26.

He addressed his ties to Epstein during that trial and said he had “never been to (Epstein’s private) island.

“I was now being talked about as if I knew Jeffrey Epstein, as though I was some important and powerful friend of his, and because I’d been on this airplane, I had actually flown to what was being called Pedo Island,” said Spacey at the time, according to USA Today. “While it is true that I met Jeffrey Epstein on that trip, I never saw him again, and I have never been to any island.”

The House of Cards star also faced a series of other assault accusations, beating all the charges levelled against him.

Records relating to Epstein and his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell have divided U.S. President Donald Trump’s supporters with many claiming that some powerful names are tied to Epstein’s trafficking of underage girls.

But last week, the Justice Department and the FBI said that a purported Epstein “client list” did not exist and they said no more files related to the investigation would be made public. This came despite past promises from Attorney General Pam Bondi that details would be shared.

“It’s a new administration and everything is going to come out to the public,” Bondi said at one point.

Trump called talk of a secret list a “hoax” crafted by Democrats.

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls—,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote Wednesday on his Truth Social site. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”

Speaking to reporters this week, Trump said he didn’t know why an Epstein list had become such fodder for conservative influencers and conspiracy theorists.

“I don’t understand what the interest or what the fascination is,” he said Tuesday.

“It’s all been a big hoax. It’s perpetrated by the Democrats and some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net.”

Trump said Bondi has given out all “credible information” there is about the wealthy financier. “If she finds anymore credible information, she’ll give that, too,” Trump added. ”What more can she do than that?”

But Trump himself has stoked his own dark conspiracy theories. Just last month, the president reposted a claim to his millions of followers on Truth Social that former president Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones or robots.
