Tori Spelling is revealing the one screen role she wishes had seen the light of day — a sex tape she filmed with her ex, Dean McDermott.
Spelling made the revelation on the latest episode of her iHeartRadio podcast MisSPELLING, saying the steamy encounter nearly leaked.

“Dean and I, when we were together, and this is in the height of (their reality show) Tori & Dean on Oxygen, it was Valentine’s Day or something,” Spelling said. “I was in New York. He was filming a movie. He came to visit me and he was like, ‘Hey, let’s film ourselves having sex.’ We had never done it before. You know, (we had been) married for years. I think we only had two kids.”
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said that they kept the video at their home and friend of McDermott’s discovered the tape and tried to sell it.
“We never locked our s*** up, we trusted everybody,” she said. “(McDermott) had it on our computer at home and a friend he thought was a friend stayed at our house while we took the kids to Hawaii.”
An adult film company alerted her to the fact that someone was trying to unload the footage for a quick payday.
“(Vivid Video) actually contacted us and said, ‘We want to let you know we didn’t accept it.’ And I’m like, ‘Why? Were my angles not good?'”
Spelling’s guest Aubrey O’Day asked if she wished it had gotten out.
“Of course. I don’t believe in regrets,” Spelling replied. “I was doing it with my husband, and we were together. Yeah, I should have f***ing let that sex tape go out.”
Spelling also bemoaned the fact that she never stripped down for a spread in Playboy at the height of her fame.
“I’m bummed I said no to Playboy. Now at 51, I wish I’d been on the cover of f***ing Playboy,” she said.
Last month, Spelling opened up on her only experience with a threesome, saying on her podcast that she indulged her partner while filming the two-part season six finale of Beverly Hills, 90210.
“I was like, ‘Okay, you know, I feel safe with this human. I feel safe with this female human,’” she recalled. “I always say, ‘You got to try anything once.’ But I came away from it feeling like, ‘Okay, I think I’ll stick to boys. I’m definitely into boys and maybe just kissing girls for shock value in front of boys. But other than that, I’m good.’”
After meeting on the set of the TV movie Mind Over Murder back in 2005, Spelling and McDermott were married from 2006 to 2024.
But last year, Spelling hinted that the duo had struggled for years before their 2023 breakup, sharing the comment her McDermott made that caused their split.
“He said, ‘Ugh, I’m so sick of this. I have been picking up Tori Spelling’s s*** for 18 years.’ And I f***ing lost it,” Spelling said on her misSPELLING podcast.
In a November 2023 interview with the Daily Mail, McDermott, 58, described their final confrontation, telling the outlet he was “drunk and angry.”
“It was the night that I raged against her and the children and I saw the light, the final flicker of the flame go out in her eyes,” he recalled.
Spelling — who now co-parents Liam, 18, Stella, 16, Hattie, 13, Finn, 12, and Beau, 8, with McDermott — told O’Day she worries about dying alone.
“I’m now 51 and single again with five kids, so I don’t even know where I stand in the future,” said Spelling. “I don’t want to be with somebody, but I do want to be. I just don’t want to be alone … You know me. I’m positive. I just — I don’t want to die alone … I don’t know what I’m doing right now.”
But despite her heartbreak over their split, Spelling referred to herself as a “strong” woman.
“They should sample my DNA when they f***ing go to the next world war. Whatever the f*** I am, I’m resilient,” Spelling said.
Meanwhile, McDermott has moved on, making his relationship with girlfriend Lily Calo Instagram official in a social media post last spring.
“Sometimes ya just gotta put on your best duds and take your girl to The Magic Castle. Cuz she’s Magic!!” he wrote sharing a photo of the two.
Calo also shared a picture of the two of them on her Instagram.
“I’ve got peace and I’ve got love,” she wrote.
“I’m blessed, you know, having everybody get along and come together for the greater good of the kids,” McDermott told Page Six in March 2024 of his new relationship. “I just, I’m so blessed. It’s a beautiful thing.”
