The first trailer for Toy Story 4 is here and you better grab a hanky.
The animated movie, the fourth instalment in the series, hits theatres on June 21, 2019.
Tom Hanks will be returning to voice Woody, while Tim Allen will again be reprising his role as Buzz Lightyear. Tony Hale from Arrested Development will be playing a new toy, Forky, who says in the trailer, “I don’t belong here… I’m not a toy!”
The snippet also features Judy Collins singing a version of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now.
Toy Story 3 was released in 2010.
Director Josh Cooley said in a statement he thought the threequel was the last one.
“Like most people, I assumed that Toy Story 3 was the end of the story,” he said in a statement. “It was the end of Woody’s story with Andy. But just like in life, every ending is a new beginning. Woody now being in a new room, with new toys, and a new kid, was something we have never seen before. The questions of what that would be like became the beginning of an entertaining story worth exploring.”

Earlier this month, Hanks hinted that the ending for Toy Story 4 is one of the series’ most emotional and “impactful.”
“When I realized what they were going for, I realized, oh, this is a moment in history,” Hanks said in an interview on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. “The emotional range of the movies has become more and more deep and profound and affecting.”
In a separate interview, Allen warned fans they better have tissue ready at the end.
“It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled,” he said during an appearance on The Talk. “I couldn’t even get through the last scene.”
