“Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film,” Swift wrote in a caption underneath the photo of her posing with Jackman, Levy, Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. “He’s created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don’t know how he did it.”

“Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor,” Swift concluded, referencing Reynolds’ character’s real name.

After the final trailer was released last week, Marvel fans shared theories online over the who might be playing the female version of Deadpool who pops up during a scene in the film. Speculation was rampant that it was either Swift or Lively.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Monday night, host Jimmy Fallon asked if Swift was behind the mask in the much-talked-about sequence.

“I wish … she’d make a good Deadpool,” Reynolds replied.

Reynolds also denied Swift was in the film during a chat with E! News.

“I always do say that if anyone ever were to take over the role of Deadpool, actually Taylor would be very good,” Reynolds told the outlet. “Because that’s a superpower that I don’t know that she shows everyone too often: She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”

But fans became more certain that Lively is in fact the one playing Lady Deadpool after Reynolds’ wife posted a photo to Instagram of the two on the set of the action film while her hubby was in his full Deadpool costume.

“MY WORD… it’s hard not to encourage my ladies to spot all the ways we’ve influenced @deadpoolmovie I’ve never been more proud. And I’ve given birth 4 times,” Lively’s wrote in her post.

“It’s time! Lady Deadpool,” one commenter wrote in response, while another asked, “Is this a confirmation that you are in it?”

At the world premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday night, Jackman and Reynolds joked about their relative lack of fame when they are seen out in public with Swift and Lively.

“If you ever really want to kinda not feel great about your career, go to (an NFL) game with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively — and then you’re ‘Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, and others’ at the game,” Jackman joked to PEOPLE. Reynolds chimed in, adding: “we’re just ‘and others.'”
