Mid-way through the band’s show, cameras flashed on people in the sold-out crowd gathered inside Gillette Stadium.

Oh look at these two!” Martin said as the pair in question popped up on the screen, embracing one another. But as soon as they were shown, the grey-haired man dove out of view quickly, while the blonde woman shielded her face and turned away. “Alright, c’mon. You’re OK,” the singer continued as they tried to hide themselves.

“Oh what?” Martin said, when he realized they were desperately trying not to be shown. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure … I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

After racking up more than 14.5 million views on TikTok, social media users became convinced the two were cheating on their significant others and several Internet sleuths claimed to have identified the companions.

Another commenter hoped the lovers’ embarrassment might serve as a warning to other cheaters.

Have you seen this couple that got caught cheating at a Coldplay concert? They didn’t just get exposed on the jumbotron … The internet found them. Be safe out there, my adulterin’ friends,” one X user wrote

Several others said the twosome made a mistake by trying to hide.

“Surprisingly if they didn’t react like that, no one would know,” one person wrote on TikTok, with another adding, “Crazy because if they hadn’t reacted this way it wouldn’t have been a big deal and no one would’ve noticed.”

It didn’t take long for online investigators to identify the alleged pair.

X user anuibi shared photos from the duo’s purported LinkedIn pages with claims that they worked for the same company.

The U.S. Sun has identified the partners as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot — the CEO and HR head, respectively, of Astronomer, a software development company.

On Cabot’s LinkedIn page, she boasts that she builds “trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants,” while Byron is described by one endorser as “a highly inspirational, motivational and experienced sales professional.”

Both “Astronomer” and “Chief People Officer” became trending topics on X by late Thursday morning.

“The internet would like to particularly thank Chris Martin from @coldplay for exposing cheaters at his concert,” @anuibi swiped in a follow-up post. “I am confident both spouses who were cheated on will have their lawyers get a pretty good payout. Thank you, Chris.”

One follower of the drama shared their three takeaways, writing, “So much to unpack here. First, if they’d have just remained calm, no one would’ve suspected anything. Second, leave his wife alone on Facebook…No need to rub it in her face. Third, let this be a lesson…NEVER bring a side piece to a Coldplay show.”

Byron’s wife reportedly dropped his last name from her Facebook profile in response.

This was the second time the Coldplay frontman has gone viral in little over a week. Martin caused a stir online when he seemingly criticized Toronto’s new Rogers Stadium during the first two shows at the outdoor venue.

Addressing the crowd on the opening night he thanked fans for battling all “the traffic and the travel and the trains and the waiting” to get to “this weird stadium in the middle of nowhere.”

At the band’s second show, Martin knocked the stadium once again for its distance from downtown Toronto when he addressed fans mid-concert.

“Thank you for being here … and especially thank you for travelling on the strange quest that you had to travel on to get to this very bizarre stadium, a million miles from earth,” he jabbed. “We are solely testing the premise if you build it they will come.”

By the time the band played their third gig, Martin clearly had realized that his comments had become the subject of debate.

“I have never criticized this stadium that was beautifully, kindly built for us to play in,” Martin said Friday night in a video that was shared to social media by MuchMusic. “I’m so grateful to have somewhere where we can hang out with all of you … All I’m trying to say is, thank you for the effort that you all took to come here. That is not a criticism of the people that built it OK? It’s just trying to say thank you to all of you for the hassle that you had to go through.”
