The Stratford, Ont., pop star, who earlier in the season predicted Lord Stanley’s Cup is headed to the 416 this year, shared a new music video for his track Hold On, dedicated to the Maple Leafs.
Calling the song, from his forthcoming album Justice, a “love letter to the Maple Leafs,” the video features highlight reel clips of the club in action on the ice and off.

During a media call Wednesday, defenceman Morgan Rielly gave the track his endorsement, saying, “Biebs is a very special person. He’s eager to work with the team and spend time around the guys and that’s a pretty cool opportunity.”
Netminder Frederik Andersen agreed, telling reporters, “It’s cool … A lot of us appreciate his music. It’s a little extra fun for us.”
Despite losing their third game in a row this week to the Jets, the Leafs still lead the North Division with 38 points.
With the team off to a hot start, Bieber has been posting about the Buds on his Instagram page, with pics of players and the team logo regularly hitting his account.
After the Leafs beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 earlier this month, Bieber shared a photo of Morgan Rielly, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares celebrating after Oilers netminder Mikko Koskinen let in the game’s third goal.

“They just can’t stop the boyzz,” Bieber captioned the snap.
But the loss against Winnipeg wasn’t just a blow to the Leafs. Bieber himself showed he had no love for the Jets after getting into a much-publicized spat with a Winnipeg fan in 2019. As he cheered on the Buds during their playoff tilt against the Boston Bruins, he directed a foul-mouthed expletive at a relentless supporter of the Jets who invaded the comments section of his Instagram page, with the team having to play peacemaker.
“Justin,” the Jets’ social media handler intervened, “I thought we were friends?”
