According to a report, many workers said they felt “so disrespected” after they found out on social media that the July 4 show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace would not take place.

“Everyone working behind the scenes was in complete shock,” an insider told The U.S. Sun. “They woke up Friday expecting a normal day of work and began their day like always.

“It wasn’t until hours into the work day everyone was told the news. A lot of the crew found out on social media which is utterly disrespectful.”

Clarkson said she was “beyond grateful” for her fans who always show up to support her, but had to cancel the shows to protect her voice.

“The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,” she wrote on the X platform. “I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”

The source said many fans were already waiting outside for the doors to open when the cancellation was announced around dinner time. Some fans “burst into tears” at the news.

“The crew was setting up like normal and bam, it hit. Fans crying about wasting thousands of dollars, fans who flew from outside of the country to see Kelly for the first time,” the source said.

“She doesn’t realize the depth of how much she let people down and most of them were crying they can’t afford to come back another weekend.”

However, the source said upcoming shows for Friday and Saturday are expected to happen.

“Everyone has been showing up every day to do their job and put on a good show,” the insider said. “Now we just need Kelly to show up. I think people will be walking on eggshells and on edge until she actually hits the stage because of how last minute she cancelled.”
