This week, the quiz show announced a new lineup of personalities who will step in to host the program following the death of longtime personality Alex Trebek last November.
Joining that list are Dr. Oz, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta and the Today show’s Savannah Guthrie.
The beloved game show returned last month following Trebek’s death with Greatest of All Time champ Ken Jennings leading the broadcast.
Following Trebek’s death executive producer Mike Richards said Jeopardy! would continue for the foreseeable future utilizing a mix of rotating hosts, including former Today show personality Katie Couric, Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker, who were brought in to help honour the legacy of Trebek.

“We look forward to each guest host bringing their unique capabilities to the show and to our contestants winning a lot of money that we can match for charity,” Richards said in a statement.
Bialik, who currently stars in the new sitcom Call Me Kat, gushed about the opportunity in an email to the Today show last week, writing, “It is an unbelievable honour to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Jeopardy! and I’m especially honoured to be able to represent women who love game shows and facts and all things geek.”
Rodgers, who was a contestant on Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2015, called the upcoming gig “very exciting” in an interview with The Pat McAfee Show on Sirius XM.
“The show has been so special to me over the years,” Rodgers said. “It’s been a staple at my house here in Green Bay for the last 16 years — 6 o’clock, watching Alex and trying to get as many questions as I can.”

Trebek’s final episode aired last month and was taped just 10 days before his death on Nov. 8 of pancreatic cancer.
Richards said that because Trebek’s death was unexpected, it ended as a “normal Jeopardy! episode.”
“He didn’t know it was going to be his last show, the contestants didn’t know, we didn’t know,” Richards told Good Morning America. “He signs off and says, we’ll see you next time, so (you) see a man at the peak of his powers.”
Trebek signed off in his usual fashion saying, “Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for spending the time with us. We’ll see you again next week.”
