The latest batch of episodes will be released in 2026 to coincide with the trio’s 25th anniversary and marks their first new season since 2018.

“Feels like it’s been awhile,” Bubbles said in a press release, while Ricky asked, “Is this a f***ing dream?” Julian added, “We need to celebrate this s***!”

When the threesome spoke with Postmedia last year, Ricky and Julian contemplated how they might mark the upcoming celebration by sharing what they hoped to achieve in time for their 25th birthday.

I should get married,” Ricky said, with Julian remarking, “I’ll try and stay out of jail.”

New cast joining this season are Deborah Grover, Jordan Prentice, Hal Bissonette, Noah Al Maktoomi, Uppekha Jain and Courtney Gilmour.

After making their debut in a 1999 film of the same name, Trailer Park Boyslaunched back in 2001 on Showcase and ran for seven seasons. The show was revived by Netflix in 2014 for an additional five seasons. The franchise has included several specials, two miniseries, an animated show and four feature films: Trailer Park Boys: The Movie (2006), Countdown to Liquor Day (2009), Don’t Legalize It (2014) and the most recent, Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and The S***rockers (2024).

During an interview with Postmedia last December, the trio said they never could have imagined their characters would have had such enduring worldwide appeal.

I think there’s a good message in there. We don’t need a lot to be happy. Life can be simple and we look out for our family and friends. So I think there’s a lot of good things about people who live in a trailer park,” Ricky said.

“We thought it was a miniseries and then it turned into 25 years later. I’m enjoying it … We do what we want, we’re not afraid to do what we want and if we end up in jail it’s not a big deal. I guess that’s where we differ from a lot of people because people are afraid of jail. But that’s just a part of life sometimes,” Julian added.

The first 12 seasons of Trailer Park Boys are available in Canada on Crave and Netflix.
