During an appearance on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, White, 68, who has been with the game show for 42 years, told the program’s co-host, Nate Marino, that she doesn’t have to punch in and out five days a week.

“I film about 34 days a year,” she admitted in a clip of the show she posted on Instagram. “That’s it! But (we shoot) six shows a day! Come on — you could feel bad for me!”

“I do not feel sorry for you one bit,” Duran replied. “That sounds like a great job.”

“That’s six different dresses a day,” co-host Danielle Monaro remarked.

White said she has worn over 8,000 dresses during her time on the show and never repeated an outfit until 2020.

“So weird. You have 331 days off a year?” Monaro said, still processing White’s filming itinerary.

“Yes, I guess so,” White said.

When viewers learned about White’s relaxed work week, they flooded the comments section in amazement.

“This is why she looks 40,” one fan commented. “She’s barely worked a day in her life, she’s cracked the code … the fountain of youth.”

“Boy, she fell on some pay dirt with that job … I wish I could find myself a gig like that,” a second person wrote.

Another applauded White for having the best job in the world. “(That’s) the name of the game … the most amount of money for the least amount of work. Hat’s off to her.”

“34 days of work in a year and your net worth is over 80 million!!! Youuuu WIN!! 👏🏽👏🏽” a fourth declared.

Before she renegotiated her contract in 2023, Forbes reported that former host Pat Sajak earned $15 million yearly for his nightly appearances, while White had been taking home $3 million-a-year for the past 18 years without any pay increases.

After a lengthy negotiation, White inked a deal to remain with the game show through the 2025-26 season alongside new host Ryan Seacrest, who took over from Sajak last fall.

The details of White’s new contract were not been released, but according to TMZ she was in line for a “substantial pay increase.”

Elsewhere in her conversation with the morning show hosts, White revealed what goes through her mind when she watches some contestants make horrible guesses.

Earlier this year, a contestant flubbed a seemingly easy three-word answer in the “Food & Drink” category.

With the puzzle board almost complete, it read “Ne_ / _or_ / _heese_a_e” when it came time for contestant Gaelyn Nease to finish the answer. Nease thought she had it in the bag when she guessed “New York Cheesesteak.”

She barely had time to register her blunder before fellow contestant Carmetta Wells came in with the correct response: “New York Cheesecake.”

In a Christmas-themed episode that aired in December, contestant Phil McManus was working to solve a puzzle in the “Same Letter” category with the answer almost already completed. As just two letters remained, Seacrest asked McManus if he was ready to finish the board, which read “Chocolate, Chestnuts & Chi_ne_s,“ or spin the wheel.

Unwisely, McManus attempted to solve the three-word puzzle, answering, “Chocolate, Chestnuts and Chickens.” After his miss, Seacrest moved on to the next contestant, Matt Komma, who completed the answer correctly: “Chocolate, Chestnuts and Chimneys.”

White said she feels for contestants as they try to answer under immense pressure.

“I mean, we’re in the public eye, right? So we know about all that. But they’re from a small town, and they’ve never been to Hollywood. And they’re nervous to begin with … I just go, ‘Darn, I wish they would have gotten that.’”
