Ozempic may be used to battle the bulge but some men are noticing an increase in their bulge.
A post targeting men on Reddit’s Ozempic page asked if other men have seen their penises grow, thanks to weight-loss drugs.
“I recently measured myself down there and noticed I gained about one inch,” one person shared on the page.
Another man noted that he has “gained 1.5 inches in length.”
He admitted that it’s “definitely not all from weight loss” but revealed that when he wears pants, he has to “move” his penis and “tuck it down the side of my left” — something he never had to do prior to weight-loss injections.
While there has not been a direct link to Ozempic use and penis growth, data out of the United Kingdom found that the average penis has grown nearly 10%, from 5.17 inches to 5.63 inches, an increase of 0.46 inches between 2022 and 2024.
The study, according to diabetes.co.uk, found that men in Venezuela saw the biggest growth to their penises over the two years, increasing by 1.42 inches and reaching 6.67 inches.
Dr Richard Viney, a consultant urological surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, believes the spike in penis size is due to Ozempic and similar drugs.

“Men’s penises shorten as they get older (due to) increasing body fat and increasing prostate size drawing the penis back into the body,” he said.
“It is theoretically possible new drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, which are used to treat diabetes and obesity respectively and can cause people to lose weight, could also be a factor,” Viney added.
“As men lose weight, their penises appear larger.”
Most of the men on Reddit agreed that it is more an optical illusion that actual growth.
“It’s the weight loss around the pubic area,” one person wrote. “It just looks bigger (which doesn’t suck) and probably works better.”
Another user agreed: “You’re reducing belly fat so it will show more.”
A third man commented, “It is kind of like bushes around your deck. When you trim them, you can see more of the deck.”
However, one doubtful Redditor pointed out, “If there is a drug that helps you lose weight, (lowers) cholesterol, helps with diabetes and makes your pecker bigger, every man in the world will be on it.”
