We try dozens of beauty products each month. These were our testers’ three favourite launches this week:

Clarins Total Eye Lift.

Clarins Total Eye Lift

They say: A refillable eye cream from Clarins that features organic Harungana (a retinol alternative), vitamin E, horse chestnut and more to address eye area concerns including firmness and dark circles. The moisturizing eye cream also promises to provide an “instant lifting effect.”

We say: A small amount of this rich cream goes a long way, cloaking the eye area in a veil of hydration. Our tester, a woman in her late 60s, applied this eye cream daily for several weeks. She noticed an immediate lifting effect, as well as an overall improvement with continued use to fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, she notes, it didn’t migrate or irritate eyes, even during the heat of summer.

Dior Rosy Glow Blush Stick.

Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Stick

They say: A new collection of blush sticks from Dior that provide a dewy-glow finish and 12 hours of “custom” colour. Available in seven stunning shades, the blush formula reacts to skin’s unique pH to adopt a more cool or warm undertone. It’s like a custom blush.

We say: There’s a reason these blush sticks have blown up on social media. They’re chic, easy to apply and provide a gorgeous pop of colour where applied. Our tester tried the bubble gum-pink hue 001 Pink on the apples of her cheeks and found it provided a pretty pop that was easy to blend and build for a more dramatic effect. Love.

Three Ships Jelly Drops. Handout/

Three Ships Jelly Drops

They say: A fan-favourite gets a new name. The Canadian skin care brand’s Dew Drops serum has the new name Jelly Drops, but its skin-loving formula featuring kakadu plum and Tremella mushroom hyaluronic acid remains the same.

We say: This hydrating serum is like giving skin a drink of water. Our tester found a few drops applied to clean skin provided instant moisture and glass-skin effect. This one’s for those who love a dewy finish. And, really, who doesn’t?
