With a stacked calendar of events this summer season, spending hours on your makeup isn’t practical.

That’s where single-colour eyeshadow looks come in handy. It’s quick, effortless, and gives the illusion of an elevated glam, with just one product. Here’s how I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil to get the look.

The eyes

This is by far my go-to way of amplifying my eyes.

For a quick application of the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Frappe ($9), a rich brown shade, sweep it across your lid, and softly blend out the edges to blur any harsh lines. Curling the lashes and coating them with black mascara makes this makeup look simple and fast to apply — and still looks polished.

The brows

Groomed brows are always a must. To set them, I used Essence Fix it Like a Pro Transparent Brow Gel. It combines long-lasting texture with a fast-drying, waterproof formula so your brows stay in place all day.

Optional add-on

For a little extra definition, and this is optional, I rimmed the waterline with the Essence 24Ever Ink in Intense Black. If black feels to heavy, opt for a rich brown instead.
