Our client Desiree Tomkulack, 60, is enjoying retirement and, after decades of having her hair coloured, she was ready to finally embrace her natural hair colour and opted for our signature “grey-in-a-day” colour service.
Desiree has medium-density and naturally straight hair. She had been contemplating going natural for a while and finally took the plunge.

To achieve her grey-blend colour transformation, I started by performing a colour-removal service to gently eliminate as much of her old permanent colour as possible.
Once removed, I applied platinum highlights and dark-grey lowlights into back-to-back foil packets to hair, leaving her natural outgrowth untouched.
After processing, I cleansed her hair and then applied an ammonia-free colour refinement in a silver tone, to blend in with her natural hair colour. To refresh Desiree’s cut, I opted for a shorter pixie silhouette, which is shorter on the sides and back with long layers on top.
This process took roughly five hours to complete and the end result looked amazing. Desiree love it.
Makeup:
To refresh Desiree’s makeup, we wanted to play up her blue-green eyes and applied a deep green eyeliner to define her almond shaped eyes. We evened out her complexion with a sheer foundation and concealer and contoured her face with a hint of bronzer. We dabbed on cream blush onto her cheeks in a soft pink shade and went with a neutral lip for a effortless finish.
