Skin
My favourite way of creating a sheer and natural summer complexion is to mist the face with a setting or hydrating mist, while applying foundation with a beauty blender.
This layering effect offers a seamless and soft finish, and the Makeup By Mario Surreal Skin 16-Hr Setting Spray is a great option. For foundation, I used the Dior Forever Skin Perfect 24Hr Multi-Use Foundation Stick. I like this because it can be built up for full coverage or applied strategically to even out and refine the skin.
Bronzer is a must! Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder is a cult-classic and a light dusting all over the face can make a great impact.
Eyes
I started by applying Smashbox 24-Hr Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer onto my eyelid and lightly blended the Makeup by Mario Master Crystal Reflector in Quartz. It’s a translucent shimmering bright-white tone that can be used on the eyes and face. I curled my lashes and coated them with black mascara. Then filled in the brows to frames my eyes.
Blush and Lips
On my cheeks I used Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick in Werk, which is a very pretty dusty-rose shade. To pull the look together, I lined my lips with a creamy beige-brown lip pencil by MAC called Strip Down. I then layered it with a light pink lipstick by Revlon Super Lustrous called Candy Addict #016.
I love this look! It’s fresh for summer and will transition nicely for fall, too.
