“A lot of people say, ‘Your butt must burn a lot after you did that challenge,’” Jack told Guinness.

“I’ve actually never experienced burn-butt before … It’s my super power, I guess.”

Good to know.

Jack used a spoon to slurp up the red sauce as quickly as possible while his wife/coach cheered him on.

In setting the new Guinness World Record, he almost quadrupled the previous world record of 300 grams.

“That’s more than I thought I would do,” he said. “I’m glad I beat this record ‘cause that was a nasty one. That was rough on the body, for sure.”

Jack says in the video that the hot sauce went down easier because he imagined it was pumpkin pie — his favourite food — and reached for the sriracha and not a sauce infused with PepperX, the world’s spiciest pepper.

His ability to endure hot foods comes from eating challenges he regularly performs on his YouTube channel, Mike Jack Eats Heat!

In a new video posted to the site, Jack eats 40 Carolina reaper peppers — the second hottest pepper on Earth after PepperX.

Among his many accomplishments is the fastest time to drink a Capri Sun with a paper straw in 21.71 seconds.
