The Living Luxe Design Show returns in late April with what promises to be a dramatic – and dramatically expanded – affair.

The show’s third annual edition, being held at the Toronto Congress Centre North Hall, is set to double in size from the 2024 version to some 100,000 square feet spread over two buildings.

Billing itself as Canada’s premier grand-scale luxury design exhibition, LLDS is unique among Toronto design shows in that it doesn’t restrict itself just to interior design, but encompasses every type of luxury, from ultra-high-end automobiles to fashion, architecture and real estate.

The show is not aimed exclusively at the very, very well-heeled, however: there’s lots to attract the merely well-heeled among us as well. Among the 2025 highlights is an impressive roster of speakers that includes boldface names such as designers Alessandro Munge, Jeffrey Douglas and Lori Morris; TV personalities Amanda Aerin and Joan Kelley Walker; and industry insiders like Kohler Canada’s Donna Church. On Sunday, Buzz Buzz Media and LLDS will survey “elite industry voices” for their take on the latest trends in high-end design and real estate.

What you can expect, says Living Luxe magazine publisher Jennifer Lipkowitz, who founded the show along with founding partner Anthony Sirianni and Diana Pires, president of Diana Pires Events, is that the 2025 version will be quite different not only from other Toronto design shows, but even from last year’s LLDS.

“The exhibitors have gone out of their way to create a unique experience this year, with larger and more creative booths. Many of the booths are designed as a fully immersive, walk-through experience, and there’s so much to see: a fine-art gallery, lots of fashion shows, and many more luxury cars, from Maserati to Lamborghini and more.”

Along with exhibits by respected design firms and suppliers such as Kohler, HP Canada, Union Lighting & Furnishings and others, one of the immersive exhibits is a fully 1,500-square-foot booth mounted by premier show sponsor JennAir.

The appliance maker is anticipated to top its sultry “Speakeasy” exhibit from 2024 where, among other things, it launched genuine leather front panels for its refrigerators, an industry first.

Dubbed “The Edge of Innovation,” the JennAir booth invites visitors to step through what it calls a “cliff-edge entrance” to a VIP lounge, where we can get a taste of luxury viewed through JennAir’s lens. Deeper inside, you’ll see the company’s products in action, and a floating island showcasing its newest and best.

Lipkowitz mentions she’s particularly looking forward to the OE Design Gallery, which will be presenting both respected and new artists in a variety of media, whose works will be available for purchase during the show and by live auction on the final day.

Special ticketed events include a glamorous opening-night party and fashion show; the third annual City Couture Gala “Fleurs de Rouge,” featuring a couture fashion show curated by the International Fashion Encounter, culminating in a luxury live auction with all proceeds benefiting Sick Kids’ Hospital; and The Living Luxe Awards Show “The Diamond Affair,” on Saturday night, honouring outstanding achievements in interior design, architecture, fashion, real estate and philanthropy.

So whether you’re in the market for your second (or third) Maserati, looking to give your chef’s kitchen a refresh, or just want to stay current with what Toronto’s posh set will be wearing, driving, living in and dining on this year, LLDS 2025 promises to be as rich as an Ecuadorean To’ak chocolate bar.
