Studies consistently show that sleep is essential for mental clarity, emotional well-being, and physical health – the holy trinity of wellness.
Designing a bedroom you love – one that promotes relaxation, comfort and individuality – plays a vital role in supporting restful sleep.
Recognizing this need, Canadian mattress company Endy saw that their customers craved simple, beautifully designed furniture that was adaptable and built to last.
They responded with a collection of six-bedroom essentials: three bedframes, two nightstands, and a dresser—all designed to mix and match to suit any style.
“As Endy has evolved, so have our customers, now seeking to refresh their bedrooms to match their style,” explains Jason Cassidy, president of Endy. “We crafted this collection to make creating their dream sanctuaries effortless.”
To celebrate the launch, the company commissioned three Canadian designers to produce inspiring bedroom designs using pieces from the new collection. The result?
Three distinct styles that will have you swooning for a bedroom makeover. We asked each tastemaker to spill the tea on their custom designs so you can get motivated for bedroom bliss.
Designer: Dani Roche
The look: Eclectic
For those who aspire to have a bedroom full of colour and whimsy, designer Dani Roche’s suite is pure design magic.
“I often look to fashion for inspiration, and this season’s Shushu/Tong show, with its mint and deep red pairing, led me to add red accents alongside green.”
With a knack for sourcing unique antiques and unexpected treasures, Roche crafted an authentic space, and encourages you to embrace pieces that resonate with you, making your bedroom a true reflection of your style.
“The Wooden Bed and emerald green Swivel Nightstands from Endy ground the room, allowing a playful mix of patterns, textures, and colours to shine,” she explains.
While some may prefer a neutral, Zen-like retreat, Roche finds comfort in being surrounded by pieces that spark joy and make a space feel one-of-a-kind.
Pro tip for changing up your bedroom aesthetic?
“Don’t worry about trends,” says Roche. “Choose items that you love. This mentality helps make a house a home!”
Designer: Samantha Pynn
The look: Nature-inspired
For designer Samantha Pynn, a bedroom is about creating a personal, restful space that reflects what you love. “The jumping-off point was the Endy Curve Bed,” says Pynn.
“The soft grey-sandy toned upholstery of the bed inspired the sea, sky and floral palette.” Her design incorporates soft floral curtains and a woodland rug in forest greens, river blues, and coral tones that harmonize with the fluted Endy Wooded Nightstands, creating a nature-inspired look.
Pynn divided the room into zones in this spacious bedroom, a good tip when designing for a larger suite. “A well-planned space allows for distinct zones, like a cosy reading nook or a dressing area, making the bedroom functional and beautiful,” she explains.
Pro tip for changing up your bedroom aesthetic?
“Change your bedding,” says Pynn. “The bed tells the biggest decorating story in the room – new bedding can make a room feel brand new.”
Designer: Abhishek Dekate
The look: Cosy minimalist
“My bedroom design centres on creating a calm, grounded space with a versatile, timeless appeal,” says designer Abhishek Dekate.
To achieve this, Dekate began with the Endy Platform Bed as the focal point, anchoring the small bedroom with its clean, minimalist lines. He layered textures and a warm, neutral palette to cultivate a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.
“Thoughtful lighting choices add to the ambient warmth, while subtle wabi-sabi elements introduce authenticity through the beauty of imperfection,” explains Dekate.
Earthy browns and blacks ground the room, while abstract art and touches of greenery add a serene, personal touch, making the space feel both tranquil and unique – a perfect space to unwind after a busy day.
Pro tip for changing up your bedroom aesthetic?
“Take your time with the process,” says Dekate. “Start with the core pieces and use them as a foundation. Pull colours from those core items, find complementary pieces, and then begin your design journey from there.”
