The survey of more than 1,000 couples found that many employees were scheduling time to have sex in the middle of their workdays.
The fine folks at CalendarLabs surveyed 1,022 couples to determine who schedules “intimate” sessions and how planned sex affects them and their relationships.
They found that more than a quarter (26%) of remote employees who had set their status to “away” were actually having scheduled sex, while about 20% were having sexytime during their so-called lunch break.

Nearly one in 10 of respondents admitted to having scheduled sex during a fake meeting they had popped into their calendar.
And while having sex in the comfort of your home/remote office is practical, one in 10 admitted to getting it on at their workplace.
A busy work schedule was the No. 1 reason why 36% of the couples surveyed said they had to include intimate time into their days.
More than half (53%) of the respondents who scheduled sex added that they did so to ensure regular intimacy, while 38% penciled in the moments to work around other family responsibilities.
Gen Z was the generation that most practised scheduled sex with 40% adding intimate connections to their daily routine.
Millennials and baby boomers followed closely with 38% and 36%, respectively, while gen-Xers were more hesitant to schedule sex with just 29% saying they did it.

Nearly half (47%) of the couples scheduled sex a few times per month, while more than two-thirds (38%) engaged a few times a week (38%) — most often on Saturdays and for an average of 55 minutes.
While there is a lot to be said for spontaneous sex, those surveyed admitted that planning for intimate sessions left them sexually fulfilled as they reported higher overall relationship satisfaction (49% versus 38%) and were 45% more likely to rank their intimacy satisfaction as excellent.
Those who ranked the length and frequency of their sex as excellent were higher than those who didn’t plan ahead.
While intimacy can strengthen relationships — on or off the clock — not enough can lead to breakups with one in five respondents reporting they ended a relationship due to a lack of intimacy.
