A 16-year-old Michigan boy has set not one but two Guinness World Records.
Eric Kilburn Jr., of Goodrich, Mich., is the current record-holder for the largest feet for a living teenager and largest hands for a living teenager.
He stands at 6-feet, 10-inches tall and wears a size 23 shoe. His feet measure 13.5 inches and his hands are 9.1 inches.
“I love to inspire people to be them and be who you are. Not hide behind something,” Kilburn said in a video for Guinness World Records.
He added that aside from his obvious uniqueness, he’s just “regular Eric” to his friends and like other teens, enjoys gaming and playing sports.
“Being in the Guinness World Records book still feels surreal,” he noted.
“To have gone from reading the books to being inside the 2025 book is something I never would have imagined was even possible,” Kilburn added.
“This experience is something that I am so grateful for. It really couldn’t be any better in my eyes.”
The teen said that due to his size, he’s met many “interesting people” and encouraged others not to be afraid to stand out.
“Do not to let others get you down,” he said.
“It can be easy to read or listen to mean comments, but those individuals are usually the most ultimately unhappy people out there, and you need to stay focused on yourself.”
It wasn’t always so easy, as the teen recalled how he hasn’t shopped for shoes in a store since “around fifth grade” and finding gloves that fit also became a challenge.

Eric’s mother, Rebecca, was forced to order her son expensive custom-made orthopaedic shoes and eventually their story went viral.
Soon, shoe companies and someone familiar with Kilburn’s predicament, basketball star Shaquille O’Neal, came calling with offers to help.
Kilburn declared one of the best parts of his record-breaking journey has been “having the connection with the amazing shoe companies, and all of the people who stepped up to help me when I needed shoes.”
He added: “It was pretty cool to see how many people genuinely care about helping others.”
