10 people charged with kidnapping in Brampton

Ten people face kidnapping and firearm charges after three victims were rescued from a home in Brampton last week.
In a news release issued on Monday night, Peel Regional Police said patrol officers and 22 Division criminal investigation bureau investigators went to a home last Tuesday in the Kennedy Rd.-Conservation Dr. area in response to a kidnapping probe.
With help from the tactical unit, police entered the residence and found three victims who were “rescued and brought to safety,” police said.
After that, cops executed search warrants resulting in the seizure of a loaded Ruger Security 9 handgun, a Glock 17 Gen 5 handgun and ammunition.
Police said 10 people were found inside the residence and were arrested on charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement, and assault causing bodily harm as well as various firearm offences.
Police didn’t release the names of those charged.
