A 57-year-old Toronto man has been charged after a suspected hate-motivated incident at the Walk With Israel rally.

Toronto Police said officers were monitoring the event Sunday when a man started yelling antisemitic slurs at attendees at about noon in the Bathurst St.-York Downs Dr. area of North York.

Tarek Ibrahem is charged with mischief/interfering with property and causing a disturbance. Police said they are being treated as suspected hate-motivated offences.

VEHICLES TARGETED AT ORONO MOSQUE

Durham Regional Police are seeking witnesses after seven vehicles were vandalized at a mosque in Orono, about 90 kilometres east of Toronto.

Police said they responded to a suspected hate-motivated incident Saturday at about 10:30 p.m. at  the mosque, Masjid Alwadood, on Church St. N., after receiving reports of  vehicles and the front door of the mosque being targeted.

E-BIKE RIDER DIES AFTER OSHAWA CRASH

A 50-year-old man is dead after a crash in Oshawa involving an e-bike and an SUV.

Durham Regional Police responded to a collision Sunday at about 12:30 p.m. in the Storie-Ave.-Harmony Rd. N. area involving an e-bike and a Buick Encore.

Police said the e-bike rider sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital. The driver of the Buick was not injured and is co-operating with police.

Police urged anyone with information to call 905-579-1520, ext. 5267.
