York Regional Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a male suspect following sexual assaults in Markham.

Cops say on Monday the victim was walking south on Kennedy Rd. towards Denison St., when she was approached by an unknown man..

Police alleged that the suspect engaged in conversation with the victim and proceeded to touch her in a sexual manner before following her to a nearby shopping centre and waited in the area for her.

Cops alleged that the suspect again engaged her in conversation, touched her for a sexual purpose and continued to follow her north on Kennedy Rd.

Police have released a photo of the suspect described as 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, with a thick beard and long black hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and work boots.

2 YOUTHS CHARGED IN MISSISSAUGA STABBING

Twoy youths have been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police said that on July 21 around 11:30 p.m. they responded to Creditview Rd. and Shagbark Cresc., where a 19-year-old male victim was stabbed after confronting two suspects who were allegedly attempting to break into parked vehicles.

The suspects and the victim were not known to each other. The victim sustained life-altering injuries.

YOUTH CHARGED AFTER COP INJURED IN MISSISSAUGA INCIDENT

A youth is facing several charges after a dangerous driving incident in Mississauga that left an officer seriously injured.

Cops said that on July 1 around 3:20 p.m., they attempted to stop a dirt bike that was driving erratically near Eglington Ave. and Erin Mills Pkwy., performing wheelies and other dangerous manoeuvres.

Police said while trying to avoid them, the dirt bike made contact with a fully marked police cruiser.

Cops said a uniformed officer attempting to arrest the driver was struck and injured as the dirt bike fled at a high rate of speed, accelerating recklessly through the crowded roadway.

The officer sustained serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.

On Thursday, a youth was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle – cause bodily harm and fail to remain at the scene of an accident – cause bodily harm.

The youth can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

“Dangerous operation of any vehicle, including an e-bike can result in serious injury,” Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said in a statement. “In this case, our officer suffered such an injury, but it could have been any member of the public who was in the area. Anyone who drives in this manner will be held accountable. Roadway safety is a shared responsibility.”
