CRIME SCENE: Police identify homicide victim as 16-year-old Toronto boy

Toronto Police have identified the victim in a homicide investigation as a 16-year-old Toronto boy.
On Monday at midnight, officers were called for reports of sounds of gunshots inside an apartment building in the King St. and Jameson Ave. area.
Police found a male who had been shot inside an apartment unit.
Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Mohamed Doumbouya, 16, of Toronto.
This was the city’s 46th homicide of the year.

MAN SOUGHT FOR SEX ASSAULT AT OSHAWA MALL
An unidentified man is sought after an alleged sexual assault at an Oshawa mall.
In a news release on Tuesday afternoon, Durham Regional Police said a female was shopping last Friday at about 2:30 p.m. the Oshawa Centre, at 419 King St. W. when she was approached by a man who mumbled words before allegedly touching her inappropriately.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years of age, about 5-foot-10, with a medium build, long brown hair, and a grey/brown beard that is short on his face and longer on the chin.
He was wearing a blue tie-dye bucket hat and a blue shirt.

MAN CHARGED IN EAST-END ATTACK
A 23-year-old Toronto man has been charged after a violent, unprovoked attack in the city’s east end.
Toronto Police said officers were called on Friday at 12:17 p.m. for a “wounding” in the Sunrise Ave and Victoria Park Ave. area.
Police said the accused allegedly attacked a man, unprovoked, while he was walking on a pathway.
The accused allegedly jumped on the victim’s back and punched the victim in the the head several times.
The assailant had a knife and allegedly slashed the victim in the chest and face.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, Yusuf Erdogan was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

GUNS SEIZED IN WEST END AFTER CONFRONTATION
A 50-year-old Toronto man is facing several firearm-related charges after a confrontation between a pedestrian and the driver of a vehicle last month in the west end.
Toronto Police said they responded to a call about a person with a gun in the Woodgate Dr.-Rose Valley Cres. area on June 25 at 6:52 p.m.
Police said a man was walking southbound on Woodgate with several other people. The man became upset at the driver of a vehicle also going southbound on Woodgate and allegedly struck the vehicle with his hand as it drove past.
The man allegedly produced a firearm and pointed it at the driver, police said, after the driver stopped the vehicle and got out.
The 12 Division major crime unit investigated the incident, executing a search warrant on Sunday and arresting a suspect. They also allegedly seized a loaded revolver, two rifles, a shotgun, more than 500 rounds of ammunition, two prohibited weapons and a “large quantity” of marijuana.
Dale Todorowich is charged with pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm without holding a license, possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority and other offences.
