CRIME SCENE: Mississauga man charged, weapon seized during traffic stop

A 23-year-old Mississauga man faces several weapons charges after a loaded firearm was seized during a traffic stop in that city.
Peel Regional Police said officers were conducting a patrol in the Hurontario St.-Matheson Blvd. area on Monday. During a stop, officers found and seized a loaded Glock 33 compact firearm.
Terrence Warner has been charged with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm, flight from a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance and other offences.

BOY, 15, CHARGED IN HAMILTON VEHICLE THEFT
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with six offences after an attempted vehicle theft in Hamilton.
Hamilton Regional Police said officers responded on Thursday at 1 a.m. to a vehicle theft in progress in the east end. Police said a homeowner saw a suspect entering their vehicle in the driveway. He fled on foot as officers arrived on the scene.
After a brief foot chase, police arrested the youth. Among the charges were vehicle theft and failure to comply with a release order.
The vehicle was recovered at the scene.
Police continue to investigate and are searching for occupants of a black Honda Civic that fled the area during the incident.

SUSPECT SOUGHT IN SEX ASSAULT PROBE
Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help after a woman was sexually assaulted at a TTC subway station.
Police said a woman was assaulted on Oct. 15 at about 2 p.m. at Museum Station. They are looking for a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 male who was wearing a dark hooded shirt with a black coat on top, light-coloured pants and white sneakers with black laces.

CHARGES LAID AFTER ARMED ROBBERY
A 22-year-old Toronto man is facing charges after an armed robbery in York.
Toronto Police said they responded to a robbery call on Sept. 22 just before 1 a.m. in the Caledonia Rd.-Castlefield Ave. area, where a man allegedly entered a store while wearing a mask, produced a handgun and demanded money.
Police said he fled with a “quantity” of cash.
Rodell Rohan Nancoo, who was already in custody on an unrelated matter, was charged on Tuesday with robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent.
