CRIME SCENE: Toronto teen, 18, charged with attempted murder in East Gwillimbury

An 18-year-Toronto teen, on probation and with a firearms prohibition order for unrelated offences, has been charged by York Regional Police after a man was shot in East Gwillimbury, Ont.
On Wednesday around 8:40 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Balsdon Hollow and Petal Ave. to find one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Cops said the suspect fled the scene in a grey Honda Civic that had been reported stolen from Toronto on June 16, but
officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and, with support from the Air Support Unit, tracked it to the area of Sentinel Rd. and Finch Ave. W. in Toronto.
By 9:30 a.m., less than an hour after the shooting, officers, with assistance from the Emergency Response Unit, safely arrested the suspect and recovered a firearm.
Feysal Mohamed has been charged with attempted murder with firearm, discharge firearm with intent, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of breach of probation and and possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order.

GUN SEIZED IN MISSISSAUGA, MAN CHARGED
Peel police have seized a firearm and laid 13 charges after against a 38-year-old man after they responded to a weapons dangerous call in Mississauga on June 8.
Cops said around 10:27 p.m., officers attended the area of Tenth Ln. W. and Thomas St. to investigate an altercation amongst a group of individuals, where someone was allegedly in possession of a firearm.
It’s alleged the accused party was in an argument with the other individuals and at some point, he discharged a round before fleeing the area. There were no reports of any physical injuries.
A short time later, Waqas Tahir Qureshi, of Mississauga, was located, arrested and charged with 12 firearm-related offences and one of possession of a controlled substance – schedule I cocaine.

TORONTO MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING PARKING OFFICER
A Toronto man has been charged with assaulting a Toronto Police parking enforcement officer.
Cops said that on June 13 around 7:30 p.m., they got a call for an assault in the Ordnance St.-Strachan Ave. area.
It’s alleged that a parking enforcement officers was conducting enforcement in the area and the accused became upset and pushed the officer with both hands in the chest.
Nathan Levinson, 34, has been charged with assault peace officer.
