On Sunday, Davie Albarran, 51, was arrested in Lakeland, Fla., on charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd conduct with a child under 12, the Daily Mail reported.
Albarran was found in a shed 451 days after his daughters, Ana and Yaneiry Albarran, started a video campaign to capture him on TikTok and his case was featured on America’s Most Wanted.
He disappeared after being confronted in 2022 by his daughters, who accused him of sexually assaulting a young female family member.

With the assistance of @john_walsh and @CallahanWalsh, featured guests Ana and Yaneiry Albarran, law enforcement and armchair detectives, fugitive Davie Albarran has been arrested in Florida by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Ana and Yaneiry said they have allegedly been contacted by more victims since starting their campaign. Ana first turned to Facebook to publicly accuse her father and asked anyone who had seen him to help bring him to justice.
The sisters also put up billboards, questioned other family members, watched out at motels and got Albarran featured on America’s Most Wanted in 2022 to help locate him. Ana and Yaneiry then turned to TikTok with their crusade with videos that garnered thousands of views.
Ana told news outlet WOFL in 2022 that her father had allegedly acted inappropriately with her when she was younger. The sisters said not all family members were supportive of the campaign, accusing some of their father’s siblings of keeping him hidden.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told news outlet WFTV that officers surrounded a home when they heard “someone’s scurrying around in the shed.” Judd said Albarran told officers that his name was “Jose” and that he allegedly had intentions of running away until a police dog was brought in.
Upon learning about Albarran’s arrest, the sisters filmed a celebration video with family as they cracked open a bottle of sparkling wine.
“We did it, guys. My father’s in jail,” said Ana in the TikTok video. “After a f—ing year. Just thank you because if it wasn’t for y’all he would’ve never been found, bro.”
No other information had been released about Albarran’s charges.
