A former Miss Universe Canada winner was charged with criminally harassing her ex-lover, an ex- Blue Jays prospect, and his wife for several years.
Elena Semikina, 36, was released Sunday from Old City Hall bail court on two counts of alleged harassment against Drew and Jennifer Taylor, between Nov. 6, 2015 and Jan. 9, 2020.

Police alleged Semikina threatened to ruin Drew Taylor’s life or kill him.
Semikina was freed with no financial obligations but under conditions to stay away from the alleged victims and banned from communicating in any way with them. She’ll be back in court on Feb. 21.
Drew Taylor, a promising professional athlete who also worked as a film producer-director, met 6-foot-1 Semikina in 2010, shortly after she was crowned Miss Universe Canada, sources told the Toronto Sun.
Taylor and Semikina dated for roughly a year, although they never lived together or formed a common-law relationship. Taylor eventually started to sour on her.
She allegedly made demands that he make her a film star, sources told the Sun.
She once requested he include her in Toronto International Film Festival events or face false allegations, according to sources. Their romantic relationship ended but they continued to work on film projects together, including Our Man in Tehran.
According to allegations, in January or February 2015, Semikina threatened to kill Taylor. He sent an e-mail to her, asking her to stop all communications unless through an employee at his company.
Police alleged she ignored this message. Taylor started dating Jennifer, whom he has since married and they have a child together.
Police alleged in 2015, while at a TIFF party, Semikna confronted the couple and threatened Jennifer.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Taylor’s lawyer sent a desist letter to Semikina in November 2015 and again in February 2016, but police alleged Semikina never quit harassing him.
Drew Taylor has become a doctor and is highly regarded in the medical field, sources told the Sun.
In December 2019 and January 2020, Semikina sent multiple insulting, harassing messages, posted slanderous comments about Drew Taylor on Twitter and tagged numerous medical companies in a bid to undermine his career, according to the allegations.
Last Monday another cease-and-desist letter was sent to the accused, who then began spreading negative messages on social media, police alleged.
