Man shot dead in Weston, police investigating 2 other shootings

A man is dead after being found shot in the Weston area early Monday morning.

Toronto Police were called at 7:28 a.m. to the area of Jane St. and Lawrence Ave. after a man was found shot on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Police located a man who had been shot and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Anthony McBean, 42, of Toronto.

There was no word on if police had identified any suspects, but they asked that anyone with video footage of the area or information to contact 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Toronto Police are also investigating two separate shootings in residential areas.

Police were called at 11:52 p.m. to the area of Mt. Pleasant Rd. and St. Clair Ave. after a house and vehicle were struck by gunfire. There were no reported injuries.

At 12:58 a.m. on Monday, police were called to the area of Bayview Ave. and York Mills Rd. after the door of a house was shot. There were no reported injuries.

The investigations are ongoing.
