Man wanted for murder of his Stoney Creek dad arrested in Toronto

A 22-year-old man wanted for murder after his father died following an incident at his Stoney Creek home was arrested in Toronto.
Sukhraj Cheema-Singh, 22, was arrested on Monday at 2:55 p.m. in the Dufferin St.-Eglinton Ave. W. area, Hamilton Police said, after being wanted for first-degree murder in the slaying of Kuldip Singh, 56, of Stoney Creek.
Hamilton Police had been called to a residence in the Trafalgar-Mud Sts. area of Stoney Creek on Saturday at 7:42 p.m. and found Singh suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police said that Cheema-Singh had allegedly fled the scene in a dark blue mid-size SUV, which was later identified as a blue 2022 Ford Edge with a Quebec licence plate. He was still driving the vehicle when he was arrested in Toronto, police said.
